About
Exojiva is a log of successful launches. Worldwide, every provider, government and commercial. One row per success.
We keep it because watching the cadence change year over year is more interesting than reading a summary of it afterward. There's nothing to sign up for and nothing for sale.
How it's compiled
Every row is imported from GCAT (J. McDowell, planet4589.org/space/gcat). McDowell compiles that catalog from operator press kits and webcasts, launch licenses and filings, and range announcements.
We keep the same launch rows this site has always shown: GCAT codes S, OS, PS, MS, LS, US, DS. In today's catalog that is almost entirely OS, DS, MS, and LS.
Those codes mean propulsive success, not that a payload reached orbit. GCAT's first letter is the kind of flight (O orbital, D deep space, M military missile, L lofted missile). The second letter S is success of the rocket, even if the payload returned no data. Failures and most partials are not in this log.
What's incomplete
- Failures and most partials are not listed. Codes such as OF or OS80 were never part of the count, and still aren't.
- This is not an orbital-only list. Missile successes (MS, LS) are in the same count as orbital and deep-space successes.
- Upcoming or manifested flights are not listed. The log is of flights that have happened.
- Provider and site are the GCAT codes stored in the database (for example SPX, VSFBS), not expanded English names.
- Payload is the GCAT mission or flight name. Rideshare manifests and payload masses are not stored here.
- A few rows have no mission name; those show the launch tag instead, or an em dash.
- The import runs daily at 06:00 UTC. A new flight can take a day or two to appear after GCAT updates.

The full log is available as CSV and JSON. Free to use for anything, with attribution — CC BY 4.0. Please credit GCAT (J. McDowell, planet4589.org/space/gcat).
